Yesterday was a day in which several things went wrong, but it wasn't all bad. Some small annoyances were "frying" 2 hair dryers and a curling iron and waiting 3 hours for a restaurant meal (we're on African time!) The bigger problems were that a missionary friend of the O'Dwyers fell down some stairs and broke his leg. Surgery is scheduled for this morning. Then,
in the evening, a child of missionaries was mauled by a dog belonging to other missionaries. That child was to have surgery last night, and the dog was euthanized. We have been aware from the beginning that Satan would stir up opposition from one source or another. We have been having special prayer gatherings and ask that you do, as well.
The marriage enrichment continues to go well with good participation and sharing. There's even talk of doing a second one while we're here. (Craig just confirmed that it will start Tuesday morning).
For the first time, several of us got to get our feet wet in the Indian Ocean. Last night the ocean was gorgeous, illuminated by a full, almost orange moon.
